Global warming pollution in Colorado increased by 38% between 1990 and 2004, according to The Carbon Boom, a new analysis of state fossil fuel consumption data released today by the Environment Colorado.

House invests in clean drinking water

A measure to protect and improve Colorado water quality passed the first of two votes by the House of Representatives today.  Sponsored by Representative Kathleen Curry (D) and Senator Betty Boyd (D), the measure (HB07-1329) is designed to increase funding for  the Water Quality Control Division to ensure clean, safe drinking water for all of Colorado.

Governor signs two bills to spur 'New Energy Economy'

Today, Gov. Bill Ritter signed two pieces of clean energy legislation – House Bill 1281 and Senate Bill 100 - to help create a “New Energy Economy” for Colorado. Environment Colorado joined the Governor at the signing ceremony outside the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Wind Test Center in Boulder.
