It
is a shame the governor has put the interests of big oil over those of
Colorado consumers and our environment. It seems we will have to wait
for a new governor to make progress toward energy independence. With
rising gas prices and our increasing reliance on volatile foreign oil,
Colorado needs to take steps toward securing its own energy future.
SB06-138
was a step toward a secure energy future and would have boosted
development of renewable fuels, improved our rural economies, and
reduced global warming pollution.
