President Obama’s proposed federal budget for 2010 would recharge Colorado’s New Energy Economy, protect the environment, and jump start the fight against global warming according to a report released today by Environment Colorado.

Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency released a proposed finding that carbon dioxide and other global warming pollutants, which come mostly from burning fossil fuels, are a threat to public health and welfare. 

Extreme weather, caused in part by global warming, is increasing the health threat posed by the country’s most toxic waste sites, known as Superfund sites.
