Cotter Corporation stopped polluting Ralston Creek

When we discovered that Cotter Corporation’s uranium processing plant was dumping toxic chemicals into Ralston Creek – a source of drinking water for 1.5 million Coloradans – we helped win a law requiring companies like Cotter to clean up their act or close their doors. In 2011, the company announced that it will stop processing uranium at its mill in Canon City, much to the relief of local residents and activist groups who’d been fighting to protect their families from toxic runoff.
